Connecticut and a coalition of states and territories sought court approval October 8 for proposed settlements with Ascend Laboratories, Citron Pharma and Mayne Pharma, according to Attorney General William Tong’s office.

The civil antitrust cases allege a long-running scheme to inflate generic-drug prices and reduce competition. Ascend would pay $400,000 and Mayne $650,000; Citron’s agreement contains nonmonetary terms because it ceased operations, the announcement says.

The proposed agreements also include compliance reforms. They are settlement proposals, not criminal convictions, and a subsequent approval order has not been verified.

The office says the first trial in the broader litigation is scheduled for February 2027 in Hartford. Consumers who purchased certain generic prescriptions between May 2009 and December 2019 may qualify for compensation; eligibility is not automatic.

The announcement directs consumers to AGGenericDrugs.com or 1-866-290-0182 for eligibility information. The supporting court motion could not be fetched during this check, so this account relies on the official announcement.
