A Waterbury resident faces nine charges following an October 3 incident near Stafford Town Hall, according to Patch’s October 9 report citing state police records.
Troopers responded around 11:36 p.m. and spoke with two young passengers who said their driver was intoxicated. Police reported that a Nissan Rogue was nearby.
The police account says the driver accelerated over a curb onto a sidewalk as troopers approached, then stopped. It alleges that she declined sobriety tests and attempted to kick officers during the arrest.
Reported charges include DUI, two risk-of-injury counts, assault on a public safety officer, reckless endangerment, interfering with police, criminal mischief and driving-related offenses.
These are allegations, not convictions. The reviewed story does not establish a plea, verdict or sentence. This account is based on Patch’s description of the police report, and the passengers’ identities are omitted.
