THOMPSON — Replacement of the Route 200 bridge over I-395 was scheduled to start October 8 and continue through November 19, 2027, according to CTDOT’s September 22 advisory.
Project 0141-0158 includes full replacement of Bridge 03474, drainage improvements on both roads and I-395 guiderail work. ROTHA Contracting Company received the $9,454,142.55 contract August 25.
Bridge demolition is tentatively planned for spring through fall 2027. CTDOT says a separate release will explain that phase closer to its start; the October project start does not mean demolition has already occurred.
Traffic signs and State Police will guide motorists through work areas. Weather and other conditions can change the timetable, so drivers should follow posted controls and later official notices.
