A Vernon woman faces DUI and risk-of-injury-to-a-child charges after South Windsor police investigated a report about a driver placing a child in a vehicle, according to Patch’s October 8 account of the department’s report.

Cierra N. Akrasi-Danso, 36, was arrested October 7 at 3:55 p.m. Police said they found her and a child in a parked vehicle and that she failed field sobriety tests.

Patch reports release on a $5,000 non-surety bond and a scheduled October 23 appearance at 9 a.m. in Manchester Superior Court. The scheduled court date does not establish a plea, verdict or sentence.

The allegations remain attributed to police through the newspaper report. This pass did not independently confirm a court outcome. The story is tagged to Vernon because of the reported residence; the incident occurred in South Windsor.
